Welcome to the 2010 International and National Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC & NCSEC) websites! With the advent of globalization and the information age, knowledge and technologies are no longer confined to a nation or a culture. ICSEC aims to be a truly international conference covering the broad areas of computer science and engineering. The predecessor of ICSEC, the National Computer Science and Engineering Conference (NCSEC), has been continuously and successfully held in various parts of Thailand for 13 years. This year both ICSEC and NCSEC will be held jointly in Chiang Mai, Thailand. While ICSEC allows academics, researchers, and experts from industries to expose themselves to new knowledge and technologies in the broad fields of computer science and engineering, NCSEC provides an opportunity for young researchers, especially graduate students, to demonstrate their talents and research ideas in Thai language.

The theme of both conferences is "Breaking the Boundaries : Multidisciplinary Computing and Innovation". This theme was chosen because of the increasing intertwinement of several disciplines. Great intellectual challenges that we confront as a global community lie not at a core of disciplines, but at the edges and the intersection of disciplines. This fact is abundantly true in the field of computer science and engineering as evident in relatively emerging fields as computational biology and chemistry, forensic science, and wellness computation. To be consistent with the theme, we have also invited keynote speakers who are experts at multidiscipinary computation and innovation. It is hoped that the audience will greatly benefit from their expertises. In addition, to attract high-quality research papers, some carefully selected and revised articles from the ICSEC will be published in Chiang Mai Journal of Science which is covered by the ISI Web of Science (SCI).

We look forward to seeing you in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in November!
